Okay, I admit it. I was a huge Tiger Woods fan. By huge, I mean I near idolized this guy. Being an Asian American, I really thought that he was the perfect role model: honest, hard working, family oriented, and highly successful. So when I heard that he was in a car wreck, my gut reaction was "God, I hope he's okay." Within days, however, my sympathy for what happened turned to shock, then anger and indignation at the revelations that he not only cheated on his wife, but was reported to be a sex addict.
I'm no saint myself and made my fair share of mistakes and missteps, but I have never ever cheated on anyone. I don't know if I will ever see my former hero quite the same again but I do hope he learns his lesson.
First Kobe Bryant, now Tiger Woods.. there are no heroes left. I am left bewildered and feeling bamboozled... only wanting to know the answer to this one burning question:
Why Tiger? Why in the world would you do such a thing like that?
